Mothers Day:
As Mother’s Day approaches, it’s the perfect time to celebrate the remarkable women who fill our lives with love, compassion, and endless inspiration. And what better way to honor Mom than with a decadent brunch that’s as sweet as she is.
Join me in embracing the spirit of warmth and togetherness with a mouthwatering dish that’s sure to bring smiles to Mom’s face: Cinnamon French Toast! I use two different kinds of bread to create this masterful cinnamon french toast. Greenlee’s cinnamon bread, and Trader Joe’s Cinnamon Sugar Bread. I would say that Greenlee’s offers more cinnamon and Trader Joe’s is more cake like, and still plenty of cinnamon.
I start by dunking each bread slice into a mixture of eggs and milk, then add them to a griddle or pan. The unmistakable aroma of cinnamon wafting through the air. It’s like a warm hug from your kitchen, promising good things to come. After a few minutes on each side, golden-brown perfection – crispy on the outside, pillowy soft on the inside. As far as topping please feel free to get creative! Try fresh berries, a dollop of whipped cream, maybe even a sprinkle of powdered sugar, and of course maple syrup.
If she likes breakfast in bed, serve her Cinnamon French Toast on a tray with fresh flowers. Or she might prefer the whole family gathered around the breakfast table to share in the celebration. Either way this cinnamon french toast will not disappoint.
Beyond the delectable flavors and irresistible aromas, it’s the shared experience of enjoying this special dish together that truly makes this Mother’s Day brunch unforgettable. It’s a celebration of love, gratitude, and undoubtedly the joy of coming together as a family. Creating cherished memories that will last a lifetime.
So let’s raise our forks and toast to Mom, after all she is the heart and soul of our family.
