Description
Sweet and tangy relish to accompany your holiday meal.
Ingredients
Original recipe:
1 quart fresh cranberries
2–3 apples (peel included) I prefer Honey Crisp
2 large oranges (peel included)
2 cups sugar
Lemon juice
This recipe makes a ton of relish so if you don’t have a large group, cut the recipe down. I usually make a smaller batch, 1/3 of the recipe. Here’s what I do:
12 oz package of cranberries
1 Apple, washed, leave peel on
3 Clementines (cuties) or one med orange, washed, leave peels on
2/3 cup sugar (I prefer it to be tangy so I use 1/2 cup)
1/4–1/2 fresh lemon, squeezed
Instructions
Original recipe
- Grind together or mix in food processor.
- Add sugar and lemon juice.
What I do:
- I use a food processor.
- Add the fruit, sugar, and lemon juice into the processor adding half at a time.
- Use low or pulse a few times until the fruit pieces are small.
- Done, ready to eat. Super easy, super fast.
Notes
Now that I have the recipe I think I’ll try is as an appetizer or desert with brie and crackers.
