A fruited chicken salad is one of my favorites. I feel like I’m doing something really good for myself as I’m eating this salad. You can use almost any fruit – I’ve made is with oranges, grapes, or even try peaches or mango. Truly Delicious!
This particular fruited chicken salad is made with all the fall favorites: apples, cranberries, almonds and of course chicken. What makes this fruited chicken salad so special is how it tiptoes you into autumn, taunting you with all the flavor of the season, but served as a cold salad with one of my favorite seasonings, dill. Litehouse has one of the best dried dill seasoning I’ve used. It’s always so fresh, non-GMO and adds such a great bright flavor. Every bite of this salad is a burst of different tastes, textures and the colors! So visually appealing that it’s almost too pretty to eat. Almost.
Whether I’m having it for lunch on a sunny day or bringing it to a picnic with friends, fruited chicken salad never fails to impress. It’s become my go-to dish whenever I want something refreshing, flavorful, and wholesome. Trust me, once you try it, you’ll be hooked too.
Be creative, I know you can. Try some juicy strawberries, sweet mango slices, crisp green apples, tangy cranberries, red or green grapes, whatever you have on hand to create a delightful harmony of flavors.
